This February 23 is the SPCA’s National Cupcake Day, dedicated to generating financial support for this great organization. The idea is pretty simple: bake some cupcakes and share them with friends, co-workers, anyone you like, really. Ask for a donation in exchange for the cupcake, and send the money in.
Register at www.nationalcupcakeday.ca, and you will get your own Cupcake Host welcome package, in which you will have all the information you need to make your efforts successful. The SPCA has operated in British Columbia for over 120 years, and its daily efforts on behalf of animals, via adoption shelter programs, veterinary care, cruelty prevention, wildlife rehabilitation, and educational outreach, cannot be easily over-appreciated. Last year’s Cupcake Day raised nearly $500,000, and the hope this year is that bar will be raised.
