Dining Out for Life

B.C.'s largest restaurant fundraiser.

The act of dining out is one of life’s great pleasures. Now, if partaking in that joyous occasion can also help a cause, well, that makes the experience all the more fulfilling. On March 25, a cornucopia of restaurants across British Columbia will band together for Dining Out for Life to raise money for people living with HIV/AIDS. From Vancouver mainstays such as Vij’s Rangoli to newcomers Homer St. Cafe, each will donate 25 per cent of its food sales to registered not-for-profits Friends for Life and A Loving Spoonful.

This year marks Dining Out for Life’s 20th anniversary—B.C.’s largest restaurant fundraiser has raised upwards of $3-million to date for men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS. With over 100 restaurants participating, from French cuisine at Tableau Bar & Bistro to Asian fusion at Bambudda, authentic Neapolitan pizza at Nicli Antica Pizzeria, or vegetarian fare at the Parker, there is surely something on the menu for everyone.
