The Macallan Pasa-Doble Cocktail

Whisky-forward.

The Pasa-Doble is a result of global influences: American style, distinct European flair, and a clever Canadian twist. Inspired by the classic old fashioned, this cocktail incorporates an iconic expression of single malt Scotch whisky and features a drizzle of Canada’s most beloved export: maple syrup.

I love the flavour profile of this cocktail, as it is truly winter in a glass. Named after the paso doble, the two-person Spanish modern dance, this cocktail’s main ingredients—The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old and Amontillado Sherry—perfectly complement each other on the palate. Boasting notes of creamy butterscotch, toffee apple, candied orange, and vanilla custard, The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old makes the Pasa-Doble this chilly season’s signature cocktail.
