Designer Karim Rashid has never really been satisfied with the status quo. It comes perhaps as little surprise, then, that Rashid, along with Push and Shove co-founders Richard Smiedt and Phil King, set out to better an everyday item: the phone charger. Their solution is Bump, a vessel that can act as your regular wall charger, but also carries up to 1.5 times the extra battery power for use on the go. Truly remarkable in its genius is the flat cord, which renders the device tangle-free. Now that’s a well-designed life.
