On July 18, 2017, New-York based-Glossier makes its first international expansion with the launch of a Canadian e-commerce site—meaning Glossier fans in the Great White North can shop in Canadian dollars, and can finally have products shipped right to their doors. The beauty empire, built by founder and CEO Emily Weiss, lives by a simple philosophy: skin first, makeup second. Fashioning a community of millennial women who are loyal to the ultra-hip brand, Glossier’s successful use of social media is due to its authentic agenda: celebrating real girls, real lives, and real beauty.
Since day one, this influence has been linked to the active community built by the company’s online beauty haven Into The Gloss. The Glossier lineup (which won’t be available to the beauty-obsessed in Quebec until 2018) currently encompasses 25 skin care and makeup essentials.
