The winery has been around for quite a few years now, and has always marched to the beat of its own drum. Blue Mountain, not far from the picturesque town of Okanagan Falls, has specialized in chardonnay and pinot noir all this time. There is some delightful sparkling wine, too. The current version of the Reserve chardonnay shows Blue Mountain at its best, chock full of stone fruit flavours, some minerality, good acidity. It’s the kind of wine that makes visitors sit up and take notice, as they realize this region is for real. Fantastic with grilled salmon or halibut, $26.
