Four Seasons Private Residences

For the family who prefers discreet luxury, there’s the Four Seasons Private Residences. One of Whistler’s best kept secrets, these lavish private mountain retreats feature three- and four-bedroom suites with open gourmet kitchen plans, 12-seat dining tables and pet-friendly amenities like dog bowls. Guests can further customize their stay with private services like a multi-course chef dinner, wellness breakfast, guided yoga session and cocktail masterclass with the resort’s bartenders—all from the comfort of private residences.

Take a short stroll to Sidecut, the resort’s steakhouse, for A5 olive-fed wagyu from  Shodoshima, Japan—Sidecut, the only restaurant in Canada to offer the delicacy. Until December 19, guests booking two nights at the Private Residences receive a third night free.

Staub Coffee Table Book

In 1974, Francis Staub produced his first piece of enamelled cookware, a cocotte or Dutch oven, while experimenting in a dormant artillery factory in Alsace, France. Fifty years later, Staub celebrates the history of that now-iconic piece—as well as the addition of its ceramic line and accessories—with a limited-edition 50th-anniversary coffee table book featuring 300 pages of culinary meals, moments, and memories.

GOOP @ Holt Renfrew

Holt Renfrew’s beauty emporium has long featured some of the world’s most luxurious skin-care products and makeup. This season, the luxury goods department store adds GOOP—Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness skin-care juggernaut—to its repertoire. From the Cloudberry Exfoliating jelly cleanser to the Nutrient Shinebath hair mask, the collection focuses on paraben-free, clean, and efficacious skin care.

Louis Vuitton Tableware

This month, Louis Vuitton introduces its Art of Dining tableware collections just in time for holiday entertaining. Whether porcelain plate or teapot, each of the 13-piece Limoges Constellation Collection recalls the iconic Monogram flower in a pointillism pattern, while the 17-piece Limoges Splendor Collection renders the house’s motifs—LV initials and the Monogram flower—in delicate gold detail. The cutlery collection, Rivet, channels the timeless trunk nail as a tribute to Louis Vuitton’s artisanal savoir-faire in both stainless steel and silver-plated Épi motif.

Theory + Essence x Ignae

North Vancouver’s Theory + Essence offers comprehensive dentistry and facial rejuvenation using state-of-the-art technology and skin-care treatments. The Skinpen facial, for example, creates microscopic channels in the skin to treat acne scarring, stretch marks, and surgical scars, while the men’s GQ Hydrafacial is customized to each skin type to address razor burn, ingrown hairs, and dullness.

This fall, the clinic partners with the plant-based Azorean brand Ignae, a clean, vegan skin-care line, to launch a customized lymphatic drainage facial. Featuring an Azorean spirulina mask, the 50-minute Ignae Detox Facial is designed to detoxify and heal the skin, stimulate collagen production, and protect against UV damage.

Dorothy Grant Book

At once a coffee table book and history tome, Dorothy Grant: An Endless Thread is the first monograph to celebrate the Haida artist’s four-decade career. From the 1989 breakthrough launch of her Feastwear, a celebrated collection that channelled modern silhouettes with hand-appliquéd Northwest Coast formline, to an exhibit of her work at the Smithsonian, the volume illustrates how this prolific designer has shaped today’s Indigenous fashion movement.

OPI x Wicked Holiday Collection

OPI casts its spell this holiday season with a new limited-edition nail polish collection, OPI x Wicked, inspired by Universal Pictures’ Wicked, which arrives in theatres November 27.

Special cinematic effects include a glow-in-the-dark green, a Glinda the Good! shimmery pink, and Oh, For Oz Sake, a white with pink and green pearlescence.

Dries van Noten Beauty

This year marks the last collection that venerable fashion designer Dries van Noten will helm at his namesake label. While his successor has yet to be announced, the Belgian impresario continues to oversee his lauded beauty collection, which launched in 2022. This fall, Canada’s online luxury marketplace SSense introduces Dries van Noten beauty to its line-up of coveted luxury labels with the prettiest of lipsticks, hair combs, and newly launched fragrances like Santal Greenery featuring notes of bergamot and grapefruit.
