Louis Vuitton Yayoi Kusama Collection

Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Yayoi Kusama to create a collection that celebrates the Japanese artist’s six decades of inventiveness. Beloved by pop art giants Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, and George Segal, Kusama’s work has encompassed a variety of mediums, including painting, collage, sculpture, installation and performance art throughout her storied career.

Marc Jacobs was captivated by “the obsessive character and the innocence of her artwork” and so, Louis Vuitton’s iconic leathergoods—along with ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and jewellery—have become the vehicle for Kusama’s energetic patterns. Her signature polka dots ripple and wrap around bags, totes, and wallets, gesturing toward her penchant for creating infinitely mirrored spaces.
