Salvatore Ferragamo Vancouver Boutique

Fashion afoot.

Salvatore Ferragamo has eight golden rules of shoe care. Second on the list: “Never wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row.” The renowned Italian label, whose origins date back to 1927, first became known for its innovative footwear designs—the cork wedge heel, the “invisible sandal”—and evolved into a luxury goods empire with locations worldwide. Ferragamo opened its Vancouver boutique 20 years ago on Robson Street, one of the first luxury fashion houses to establish a stand-alone storefront in the city. It recently reopened its doors to a newly renovated space, stocked with creative director Massimiliano Giornetti’s ready-to-wear collections for both women and men, as well as jewellery, handbags, leather goods, scarves, perfumes, eyewear—and of course, plenty of shoes, just in time for the fall fashion season. The brightly-lit boutique celebrates Ferragamo’s Tuscan heritage with imported Italian furniture and champagne-tone finishes, and plush European rugs are a luxurious final touch underfoot.
