Beauty Cabinet: Everyday Pampering

Little luxuries.

Pampering, especially when it comes to beauty, doesn’t have to be about heading to the spa. Here are four products with which to indulge at home and on the regular.

Lierac Premium Yeux

From Paris brand Lierac comes a superior contouring eye cream new to its Premium line. A special concentration of protein jump-starts the regeneration of epidermal and dermal tissue, helping to increase firmness and combat dark circles, dark spots, and puffiness. Made in France with black orchid extract, black rose extract, and black poppy extract, Premium Yeux replenishes and tightens the delicate skin around the eyes. The best way to say good morning.

Belif Moisturizing Bomb

A cult favourite from Korean beauty brand belif is its Moisturizing Bomb, which promises 26 hours of moisture from one application. It is made with comfrey leaf, a powerful Scottish herb that farmers used to treat dry skin and help it hold onto moisture. The smooth, almost milky cream can be used daily (it is suggested to apply after serum) for soft, supple skin. Though it is thick, the Moisturizing Bomb is not gloopy or oily—it glides on and quickly absorbs, leaving a dewy and happy glow.

Leaves of Trees Persian Lime Deodorant

Toronto’s Leaves of Trees is known for its exotic ingredients and scents—all-natural and ultra-luxe, of course. The Persian Lime deodorant is made with Persian lime essential oil, Indian coriander essential oil, and Australian lemon myrtle essential oil, resulting in a delicious (and gender-neutral) smell and strong conditioning and odour-fighting power (other scents include Eucalyptus Mint and the woodsy Boisé by KNM, a collaboration with Pink Tartan’s Kim Newport Mimran). Don’t let the deodorant’s form—a small toothpaste-style tube—scare you: a simple squeeze will do the trick, allowing you to rub it in like moisturizer. Its tantalizing aroma won’t overwhelm the way that some deodorants do, but it’s strong enough to last through the day, and the apothecary-style packaging makes it all the more pleasing to pull from your cabinet.

Beautitude Feeling Haute Bath Salts

Chrisanthy and Catherine Boriamos come from a family known to be one of Canada’s leading salt and sugar importers, so the sisters understand a thing or two about the products—and used that knowledge to create their own line of luxury bath salts and scrubs, called Beautitude. Included is the Feeling Haute Bath Salts, with avocado oil (soothing, with Vitamins A, D, and E), argan oil (reduces signs of aging), lavender (calming), eucalyptus (enhances blood circulation), and 12 Dead Sea minerals (calcium, potassium, and more). Altogether it makes for an amazing-smelling bath that will be hard to get out of—but get out you must, if only to find out how soft your skin feels after. (For something even quicker, use the salts in a warm foot soak after a long day’s work.)

Moments of luxury can be found everywhere. A small change can sometimes make the biggest difference.
