It is high time to put aside any assumptions you might have about the venerable German sparkling wine producer Henkell. Their über-famous Henkell Trocken is still going strong and if anything, in keeping with the times, it is leaner and more food-friendly than ever. But now you can try a terrific Rosé, and also, this bottling, the Riesling. We like it a lot, and so will your dinner guests when you give them a glass to accompany the focaccia and warmed Sicilian olives.
