Il Nespoli Sangiovese

The wine.

From the Romagna region of Italy, part of the food haven known as Emilia-Romagna, with its own distinct wine growing region, comes a delightful sangiovese called Il Nespoli. The winery is called Poderi dal Nespoli, and they do make several wines, but this is the wine that is making them famous outside Italy. It is intense, though light, full of spicy notes with cherry flavours, all wrapped in a structured, pleasantly tannic package. Fine tonight, fine two or three years from now, with almost any grilled meats you have a hankering for. $23
