Holt Renfrew Homme Plissé Issey Miyake Pop-up

From furniture to art installation, Parisian artist and designer Ronan Bouroullec’s creations can be found everywhere from New York’s MoMA to London’s Design Museum—and now at Holt Renfrew in Vancouver for a North American exclusive. For fall/winter 2024, Bouroullec partnered with iconic Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake to create the Homme Plissé Issey Miyake collection. Creative sessions between the two brands resulted in Miyake’s signature pleats serving as a sartorial canvas for Bouroullec’s delicate brush strokes in vivid, deep colours, and negative white space. The installation features both the artist’s two-dimensional artwork and fashion designer’s three-dimensional clothing and is on display until September 13.

La Prairie Life Matrix Haute Rejuvenation Cream

Back in 1931 at Clinique La Prairie in Montreux, Switzerland, longevity expert Dr. Paul Niehans pioneered the science behind cellular therapy when he improved the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and discoloration. With the launch of this month’s Life Matrix Haute Rejuvenation cream at Holt Renfrew, La Prairie seeks to reset the skin to a younger state with molecular actives found in ther patented Exclusive Cellular Complex and extracts of peony root and calendula flowers.

Heather Lynn Cashmere Coats

While others were baking bread during the pandemic, Vancouverite Heather Lynn launched her first line of cashmere coats, which were inspired, in part, by her mother, a former home economics teacher, who had a good eye for well-tailored pieces.

Today, Heather Lynn Cashmere’s raw materials are sourced from Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, and are certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), Good Cashmere Standard (GCS) and the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) to ensure the cashmere is fully traceable and ethically sourced (collected by combing the undercoat naturally shed during warmer months). Featuring only organic, unbleached cashmere (to avoid harsh softening chemicals), each coat is hand-sewn in a small family-owned factory and shipped in biodegradable bags to reduce their environmental impact. The initial four-coat collection has grown to include hoodies, trench coats, and the new Grace collection arriving just in time for fall/winter 2024.
