While there is a fanciful array of impeccable crystal wares at eye level upon entering the Lalique boutique at Bal Harbour Shops in Florida, it is a good idea to look up. There, perched high on a shelf as if suspended in flight, sits a selection of colourful crystal panels from Eternal, the brand’s collaboration with renowned British artist Damien Hirst. Eternal has three parts—Love, Beauty, Hope—each one depicting a different butterfly that catches the light just so. Embodied throughout the finessed collection is a sense of whimsy and wonder, and an appreciation for both the fleeting and the forever.
