Vancouver-based Lebanese sculptor Marie Khouri is in the midst of a fabulous new creation, which will be unveiled soon. But she has been busy, also, with her eyes on a practical application of her sense of flow and beauty in public spaces. In this case, though, the public space is your own home. Khouri’s oversized polyethylene planters are all rotationally moulded, making each of them one-of-a-kind gems for the home, either outside or in. They are hand-sanded and flamed to produce a lovely, smooth matte finish. The planters are, besides being beautiful, remarkably light and UV protected and weather resistant. The collection includes four different sizes; production is limited to 321 units of each model.
