From our Autumn 2021 issue, a list of cosy yet durable items to prepare you for the colder months ahead.
Gucci Off The Grid Backpack
Gucci Off The Grid is the first collection from Gucci Circular Lines, the brand’s sustainably minded arm dedicated to recycled, organic, bio-based, and sustainably sourced materials. The Off The Grid backpack features a nylon fabric crafted from regenerated materials that can be recycled.
Obakki Ayres Collection
Obakki’s philanthropic founder Treana Peake travels the globe in search of thoughtful partnerships that give back to communities before she brings her wares in house. The brand’s newest collection, Ayres—sourced from a fair trade design collective based in Mexico City—features handmade vases, serving bowls, and Mexican molcajetes (mortars and pestles) that double as fine art in natural materials such as lava rock, marble, and wood. Each piece highlights the craft of the artisan’s region, supporting ancestral traditions that might otherwise be lost.
Canada Goose Boots
This November, Canada Goose—known for its parkas designed for harsh Arctic and Antarctic conditions—adds footwear to its sartorial stable for the first time. Men’s and women’s extreme-weather-protection arctic and alpine boots launched in two styles: Journey and Snow Mantra.
TAO Clean Sonic Toothbrush
TAO Clean’s new limited-edition self-cleaning Umma Art Sonic Toothbrush not only rids your mouth of germs and bacteria, the base station also recharges and dries the brush while a UVC-C light cleans the bristles. It also makes the perfect statement on the counter. Inspired by Japanese raku pottery, its design represents “happiness and enjoyment in the accident” or the idea that the beauty of life lies in imperfection.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Black Black
Just because you’re not jumping out of planes or diving 300 metres below the ocean’s surface doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to. And now, with Omega’s new Seamaster Diver 300M Black Black, you’re ready to go at all hours of the day—or night. Anthracite Super-LumiNova has been added to the diving scale, the black PVD indexes, skeleton hands, and the dot at 12 o’clock—now the essential markers glow different colours in the dark but turn dark grey in daylight.
La Prairie Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil
While we sleep, our skin regenerates, so it’s good news that scientists at La Prairie, the Swiss skin-care powerhouse, have discovered natural retinol in caviar. Obtained through a specially designed extraction process that captures and retains both caviar lipids and caviar-derived retinol, the Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making the skin look smoother.
