Photographer Kitt Woodland Captures Beauty in the Small Details of Island Life in Sardinia

Travelling from Cagliari to northern Sardinia during the shoulder season offers a more intimate experience. The crowds fade and the island slows. Stunning beaches along the coast sit almost deserted beneath moody skies. Heading north through rugged mountains and mist-filled valleys, the scenery grows increasingly dramatic. Houses merge with the wild hillside, and striking, statue-like rock formations surround La Maddalena. It’s a rare, unhurried glimpse into life on this storied Italian island.
