Aëdle, a Paris-based start-up, combines state-of-the-art audio technologies with traditional craftsmanship for headphones that sound just as good as they look.
Founders Raphael Lebas de Lacour and Baptiste Sancho devoted two years to research and development before releasing their first product, the VK-1, or Valkyrie. The duo worked closely with a team of acousticians and engineers to develop a custom-designed transducer driver enclosed in an aluminum sound chamber, designed to create a feeling of immersion through a deep base soundstage. VK-1 is designed in Paris and assembled with care in the Aëdle factory in Brittany, France.
Aëdle’s VK-1 is available at Litchfield in Gastown.
