Barrie Knitwear x Secret Location

Coolest factor.

Fair isle. Cowichan. Nordic. When it comes to knitwear, Vancouverites are fluent in the language of texture, colour, and layer. Be it a weekend on the slopes of Whistler or a quick run to one of the city’s funky cafes, there’s always a trusty sweater in the winter wardrobe to match the occasion—or in some cases them all. This is one of them.

In its first Canadian collaboration ever, historic Scottish cashmere house Barrie Knitwear has created a limited-edition sweater with Vancouver fashion concept store Secret Location. Designed with founder and creative director Carey Melnichuk, the retro Intarsia knit jumper pays tribute to British Columbia’s whimsical mountains while demonstrating the quality of Barrie’s fine wool (the company was acquired by Chanel in 2012 to become its official supplier). Available in unisex sizes, the Vancouver Maple Leaf Pull Over is sold exclusively through Secret Location, the only retailer for Barrie on the West Coast.

A standout in powder blue and long-lasting Scottish craftsmanship, this unique knit is the perfect addition to the winter style vocabulary.
