A Look Inside Canada’s Largest Louis Vuitton Store

Louis Vuitton’s redesigned flagship store in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is now open. The elegant space spans two luxurious levels, with women’s clothing and shoes on the ground floor and the men’s department upstairs.

The store showcases all of the luxury goods that the brand is known for, from leather bags, luggage, and footwear to jewellery, watches, sunglasses, fragrances, and apparel.

Capucines handbags are nestled alongside Tambour timepieces and Attrape-Rêves perfumes.

Seasonal offerings feature prominently, such as slopes-ready LV Ski pieces and a festive capsule collection to kick off Lunar New Year.

Serving as the space’s visual centrepiece is a sweeping circular staircase that joins the store’s two levels.

Also visually stunning is a piece that was crafted specifically for the Vancouver location: a huge version of Marcel Wanders’ Diamond Screen. Woven from leather, this room divider is part of Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection of innovative travel-inspired furniture and home accessories.

Other whimsical Objets Nomades pieces include a Bomboca Sofa and a Cocoon hanging chair, both designed by Brazilian duo Fernando and Humberto Campana, better known as the Campana Brothers.

A painting by Italian artist Isadora Capraro was specially created to hang on a curved wall in the store’s private shopping suite. The colourful artwork faces an amber-coloured coffee table by Hélène de Saint Lager, which sits under a Henri Bursztyn chandelier.

Other prominent art on display includes a geometric canvas by Scott Sueme, who was raised in Vancouver, and a boldly striped composition by Montreal-based artist Heidi Spector.

As for customization, a hot-stamping machine on the second floor can personalize leather goods, and a Paris-trained artisan is available on-site to paint bespoke designs onto hard-sided bags and luggage.

At the fragrance counter, custom engraving can be done on the refillable perfume and cologne bottles.
