Louis Vuitton’s 2020 UNICEF bracelet adds a splash of colour

For four years, a little silver lock has represented iconic fashion brand Louis Vuitton’s commitment to helping children around the world. The Silver Lockit project has raised nearly $10-million for UNICEF, with proceeds from the silver bracelets going to support victims of natural disasters, Syrian refugees, as well as children in Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and Turkey. In 2020, the lock is back in a new colourful form, from the hands of Louis Vuitton men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh.

The 2020 Silver Lockit is inspired by Abloh’s spring-summer runway collection, and features a thicker, colourful cord in black, orange, celadon green and blue with hints of yellow, along with the classic charm and engraved padlock. From the sale of each bracelet, Louis Vuitton donates $100 (U.S.) to UNICEF.

Abloh’s 2020 bracelet is available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide, as well as on the fashion house’s website.
