Enjoy Easter Dinner and Treats By Takeout and Delivery in Vancouver

As the Easter long weekend approaches, the one thing we know for sure is that we will all be staying home and celebrating it with our immediate household. It may not be what we had planned, but we can at least cheer ourselves and our loved ones up with a treat or two. Order dinner in, or send some sweet things to those you are missing the most.

Beaucoup Bakery

Hot Crossed Buns

There’s nothing like a toasted hot cross bun slathered in butter (yes, that is the sound of drools on the keyboard), and Kitsilano’s Beaucoup Bakery knows that so well they’re offering this traditional yeasted treat in two flavours: classic and almond chocolate orange.

Available Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. (pickup) or 11:30 a.m. (via Uber Eats) until sold out—preorder by Thursday, April 9, to be certain you’ll have some on a particular day this weekend.

Throw in a couple of Beaucoup’s exemplary croissants for good measure—calories don’t count on a long weekend, right?

The Lazy Gourmet

Parfait

If turkey and all the trimmings says Easter to you, the Lazy Gourmet’s menu should hit the spot. A herb-roasted bird with mash, gravy, and Brussels sprouts comes with a kale Caesar salad and sourdough baguette to start, and a strawberry shortcake parfait to end on a sweet note. $75 for every two diners.

Preorder by April 9 at 4 p.m. by emailing [email protected]  for pickup on Sunday, April 12. Limited orders also available via delivery on April 12 via Uber Eats and DoorDash.

This new and innovative restaurant on Main Street barely had time to bask in the glowing reviews and enthusiasm from Vancouver diners before having to shutter due to COVID-19. We’re delighted to see it reboot with a takeout service in time for the long weekend.

Available Wednesday through Sunday, menus for the coming week will be posted on Sundays. This week’s offerings have a distinctly German flavour— jaegerschnitzel, short rib goulash, smoked pork belly with kohlrabi kraut—courtesy of executive chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson. Pickup only for now, with delivery options promised soon.

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

If you fancy something a bit swish, the team at Boulevard are offering a great-sounding Easter menu of surf and turf. Crab and shrimp Louie to start, followed by beef Wellington with Madeira sauce, and carrot cake to finish.

Available for pickup or delivery on Saturday, April 11, only, $120 for two, with the option of adding single portions (to an existing order) for $60.

Choose between a full barbecued chicken or duck as the centre of a meal that also includes barbecued pork, a selection of vegetable sides, wonton soup, rice, and salted egg yolk buns.

We all need a little chocolate in our lives—not to mention something that makes us smile—and these Easter bunnies make the grade on both counts. Go on, you know you want to.
