Prohibition at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia

Ready to roar.

The highly-anticipated Prohibition at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia opened February 12. Much is expected of this downtown underground speakeasy: handcrafted cocktails, exceptional service, and sharp design. Judging from our sneak peek, patrons will not be disappointed.

In its heyday, the Chameleon bar at the Hotel Georgia was the gathering place for society darlings and the city’s who’s who. With its sleek staircase and inviting interiors, Prohibition will be a solid replacement, inviting patrons to a posh lair. The venue was designed by Munge Leung, who also spearheaded the renovation of the Georgia Street property in 2011. A tip to the decadence and glamour of the Roaring Twenties, Leung has created a rich and sophisticated space teeming with lush black drapery, rich jewel tones, and vintage finishes to complement the 3,000-square-foot lounge space. The venue will showcase daily live entertainment, impressive bites from chef Ken Nakano, and bespoke cocktails designed by acclaimed bartender Brad Stanton.
