On March 7, Angel’s Envy whisky connoisseur Adam Domet will be celebrating the third annual Vancouver Cocktail Week (March 3 to 10, 2024) by pairing three cocktails with small plates for a special event at the Parker Hotel. In advance, he shared this recipe for a reverse Manhattan—a spin on the foundational cocktail that accentuates the smooth sweetness of vermouth, with a dash of chocolate.
Reverse Manhattan
Ingredients
20 ml Angel’s Envy Port Finished Bourbon
40 ml Noilly Prat Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes chocolate bitters
Method
Combine all ingredients in a mixing vessel, add ice and stir for 15 seconds.
Strain into your favourite cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry and orange oil.
