The candy scene in the Lower Mainland has just turned a little sweeter—and more sophisticated—with California’s favourite gourmet treat shop Sugarfina opening in Metropolis at Metrotown. Sugarfina was founded in 2012 by wife and husband Rosie O’Neill and Josh Resnick, and is most famous for reclaiming the candy industry for adults; most popular are the luxe cocktail gummies, including the Champagne and Rosé All Day bears. Sugarfina is enjoyed by A-listers across North America and adored by the masses for its darling shapes and mouth-watering flavours. While there is a Sugarfina shop-in-shop inside Nordstrom Pacific Centre, the Metrotown location is the company’s first standalone store in Canada.
Customers can head into the pastel blue boutique and pick from dozens of candies that have been inspired by flavours, shapes, and connoisseurs from around the world. Sugarfina’s shopping concept is truly original; customers can fill up the signature Candy Boxes, or opt for taking home a little more with a Bento Box.
