Taste the World

The Vancouver International Wine Festival.

What do Gérard Bertrand, Clovis Taittinger, Thomas Perrin, Michel Chapoutier, and Etienne Hugel have in common, other than the fact they are among the most highly respected French wine producers? They are all in Vancouver this week for the Vancouver International Wine Festival. You can taste their wines, and many others; France is the theme country this year, and fittingly, bubbles are the theme wine. Start with a few whites, then move on to reds, but remember to sip, swirl, and spit. It’s called surviving your education.
