For Gimli Den by Gamla

Cozy canine.

Brent Freedman and Robin McMillan of Gamla, a Vancouver-based contemporary design studio, strive to strike a balance between form and function through experimentation and innovative design. In one such case, they sought to create high quality furnishings for their Welsh Terrier puppy, Gimli, with safety and sustainability in mind. The result: a line of three designer products for your canine companion, including a dog feeder, a travel carrier, and a thoughtfully crafted hideaway den.

For Gimli Dens are built to accommodate any size of dog, and come complete with brass detailing, locking door, colour panel, and an optional dog bed with organic cotton fill, protective lining, and removable Pendleton Woolen Mills cover. Built from solid, sustainably forested walnut and protected using natural, non-toxic wax and oil finishes from cheese and peanut extracts, all crafting materials are reclaimed, recyclable, biodegradable, and native to North America when possible. Custom requests for materials and special sizing are welcomed, as each product is handmade to order, and a portion of sales from the For Gimli line are shared with the BC SPCA, Gimli Humane Society, and the Phnom Penh Animal Welfare Society.
