Collezione Automobili Lamborghini

Changing gear.

Nowhere else in the Lower Mainland does the accelerated world of cars meet the fast-paced world of fashion quite like at Aberdeen Centre—now that Lamborghini has rolled in, that is. The Italian automobile company opened up their first Canadian fashion boutique there this past May, following in the tracks of store openings in Los Angeles and Beijing last year. These cities were strategically chosen for their locations as fast-growing markets and centres of luxury commerce. True, the Aberdeen Centre location is a slight trek outside Vancouver’s city centre, but it really is a short drive—especially if you’re behind the wheel of a sports car.

Titled Collezione Automobili Lamborghini, the label may be a mouthful to say, but the full portfolio includes some interesting pieces for men, women and youngsters. Lamborghini plans to release collections seasonally, all rounded out with accessories like hats and briefcases (leather goods are crafted from Italian leather, of course). Anyone seeking emblem-adorned apparel—in this case, the gold Automobili Lamborghini crest, complete with raging bull—will not be disappointed.

In the words of Stephan Winkelmann, Automobili Lamborghini’s president and CEO, the fashion philosophy behind the line is “synonymous with the traits of each Lamborghini vehicle: extreme, uncompromising, and unmistakably Italian.” That description alone should be enough to coax any sports-car aficionado out of the driver’s seat and into the changing room.
