Hunter Boots

Well done.

You hear it all the time: you can’t go wrong with a white T-shirt and denim. The basis of that statement is really about setting a strong foundation from which seemingly limitless expressions can be built. That is one ethos Hunter knows well.

Established in 1856, the now iconic boot company was built on a base as sturdy as its own rubber soles. The Original Green wellington, arguably the brand’s most recognizable style, exemplifies classic design and traditional craftsmanship. Now, nearly 60 years since its debut, Hunter has released a vibrant spring/summer 2014 collection which features a selection of quintessential boots with a twist. One standout is the Original Contrast, which colourfully highlights the boot’s 28 handmade parts. Additionally, the Original Nightfall uses an inventive technique to combine the flow of black and white natural rubber, creating a truly unique pair every time—a design that took the company three years to perfect.

Now, Hunter has a foothold in outwear and accessories as well. Under the guidance of creative director Alasdhair Willis, the company recently launched Hunter Original, a line that includes semi-transparent water-resistant smocks and totes in a variety of colours, at London Fashion Week. With Hunter Original and its new collection of inventive designs, the brand continues to mature while taking hold of fresh opportunities and remaining true to its enduring heritage. True to form, the apparel brand is taking all the praise in stride.
