Tesla Motors has teamed with the iconic Radio Flyer wagon manufacturer to create a snazzy car for kids. It is called the Tesla Model S For Kids by Radio Flyer, and it bears the same great design lines as its grown-up counterpart. Complete with re-chargeable lithium-ion battery.
The vehicle comes in three colours: Red Multi-Coat, Deep Blue Metallic, and Midnight Silver Metallic. And there is something playfully called a “frunk” (a trunk storage space), located at the front of the car. The battery recharges quickly, and has extended life capability, making it an ideal mode of playground transport for kids, all the while boasting clean energy and great looks.
The mini cars are available from the Radio Flyer website—and for the real thing, Tesla has its Vancouver showroom on Robson Street near Howe. The brand also recently opened its first-in-Western-Canada retail and service facility, in the Radius Building on West 4th Avenue at Fir. So that Lower Mainland parents and children can have their innovative vehicles adorably and fashionably match.
