The Araxi Longtable Series

Splendour in the grass.

Each year for the past several years, executive chef James Walt and his team at Whistler’s iconic Araxi restaurant have put on what they call a Longtable dinner, or two.  It is, literally, one long table in a bucolic, all natural setting, with about 200 lucky diners sitting side by side by side, enjoying chef Walt’s dishes featuring the ultimate in local, fresh ingredients cooked with passion and great flair.

This year, they are on Saturday, August 3, at Lost Lake in Whistler, and Saturday, August 17, at North Arm Farm in Pemberton. In each case, sommelier Samantha Rahn will work with a B.C. winery—Quails’ Gate for the first dinner this year, and Le Vieux Pin and LaStella for the second. The Araxi team will also be handcrafting cocktails with spirits supplied by Pemberton Distillery, to help create the finest in dining experiences.

Walt has been dedicated to this region and its bounty for a long time now, and the opportunity to taste this food, grown and then prepared right here, is not to be missed.
