Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Franc

The wine.

The fate of the Blue Jays is still in the balance. Remember, the teams that play in October usually have the best pitching and superb defence. But the suspense, should you feel any at all, will be allayed by a perennial favourite in this part of the world, the always great Tinhorn Creek cabernet franc ($22). This wine has always been a standard bearer for quality at a reasonable price in the Okanagan, and if anything, the new vintage takes it even further. There is rich, luscious fruit, and great acidity, but, for this particular variety, a plushness, an approachability that is a bit surprising, in a pleasant sort of way. This wine, of great pedigree, continues to shine.
